Thousand Pieces of Gold...McCunn...( Gum San Reality) overcoming slavery in Northern California.
Sorry....but I did NOT enjoy Crying in H Mart. To me (IMHO) it was less about Korean Generations in Northern California, and more about a Daughter's struggle with her love/hate/Korean Mother. Very important personally, but too personal to be historically teachable.
